what's up with the reta itch?

Seen a few posts about folks getting the 'itch' or skin sensitivity with reta. Wondering if it's more common than we think or just some unlucky research rats. Maybe something to do with the glucagon part? Anyone got theories or experiences (not personal ones, of course)?
